Translating literally to ‘Big Beach’, these soft and golden sands rest just south of the charming village of Aberffraw on the Isle of Anglesey.
This popular family beach is a must for those visiting Anglesey. With a car park, toilets, a beach café, a promenade and picnic tables, it has just about everything you need for a family fun day out.
At low tide, you can play ball games on the expanse of sand, explore caves and paddle in the shallows. For the more adventurous, there’s a slipway at the far end of the beach allowing boats and jet skis the opportunity to take to the seas.
In the village behind the beach, you’ll find plenty of local shops, cafés and pubs – the ideal way to end the day at Traeth Mawr.
Enjoy a fantastic day out at Cemaes Bay…
