Llanberis Lake Railway
Journey through some of the UK’s most stunning areas of natural beauty on the Llanberis Lake Railway. Start the journey at Gilfach Ddu station in Padarn Country Park before travelling along what was once known at The Mills Tramway.
Along the way you can spot the 13th-century Dolbadarn Castle, Padarn Lake, Llanberis Village and the mountain range of Snowdon. You’ll also be given the opportunity to alight the train at Llanberis Village where pubs, shops and cafés await.
If picnics are more your thing, hold off and set up at Cei Llydan – the perfect lakeside al fresco dining spot. As you return to your starting point, you’ll pass rock made from solidified lava from a long-extinct volcano and a small but spectacular waterfall.
You’re welcome to alight at certain spots along the way and explore the stunning natural landscape close-up – there’ll soon be another train along to pick you up!
All Llanberis Lake Railway trains have wheelchair accommodation, however, spaces are limited, so please be sure to book ahead.
An exciting journey awaits on Llanberis Lake Railway…
