The Cells of Life at Jupiter Artland

Jupiter Artland

Jupiter Artland was founded in 2009 by philanthropists Nicky and Robert Wilson and rests amidst the 120-acre grounds of a Jacobean manor. The gallery is a registered charity with a range of landscaping, sculptures, and masterpieces.

On your visit to Jupiter Artland, you can enjoy touring the manicured grounds while soaking up the scenic backdrop. You can admire the Pentland Hills and Midlothian from here, as well as spot the distant Forth Bridges!

The artwork on display here is mesmerising, with Jencks’ ‘Cells of Life’ and Vasconcelos’ ‘Gateway’ being highlights. These sculptures rest outside, and can be seen on a group tour or at your own leisure.

There are many pieces of art sitting inside the gallery, too! The attraction has played host to over 30 exhibitions in its time, all of which are eye-catching and educational.

On top of its fascinating exhibitions, the gallery offers an array of workshops as well as a Learning Foundation. Their mission is to engage with every child in Scotland; there are plenty of activities on offer for this! From seasonal crafts to regular events – there’s something for everyone here.

A gift shop completes the gallery’s facilities, making for a great end to your trip. A fabulous range of homeware and artists’ pieces are on offer, so you can take a piece of Jupiter Artland home.

A wealth of breath-taking art and sights are waiting for you at Jupiter Artland…
