Inverleith Park
Known as one of Scotland’s largest inner-city parks, Inverleith Park sits at an astounding 54 acres! The park was once part of the Inverleith Estate and nowadays makes for a wonderful area to while away the time.
Due to the park’s large size, it accommodates several activities, such as football, cricket, rugby and gardening. There’s even a child play area for the little ones to let off steam in!
One of the main things to do when visiting the park is embarking on an extensive stroll. During a walk, you’ll see wonderful sights, including Edinburgh Castle and a lake filled with charming water birds. Iverleith Park welcomes dogs all year around, so you can take your canine companion with you!
Alternatively, you can enjoy a moment of peace and quiet by sitting in the tucked-away Sundial Garden. To find more vibrant flora, head to the neighbouring Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
The park is not only idyllic but is a main events space for the city. Hundreds of events take place here each year, including the Festival Fireworks Concert.
Enjoy a day packed with sports, hikes and relaxation at this city oasis…
