Lantic Bay
Visitors can park at the National Trust car park a mile east of Polruan near Fowey and take the footpath from there. The path leads hikers across a field and up a hill where the bay below is revealed. There is a steep walk down to the beach, but the idyllic stretch of shoreline makes the effort worthwhile.
Once you reach the sandy shores and turquoise waters you can settle at Little Lantic or Great Lantic beach, the two become one at low tide. The beaches make for a perfect picnic spot and tired feet can be soothed with a paddle in the shallows. Caution is advised when swimming due to rip currents and lack of lifeguard cover.
Enjoy a soothing dip in the turquoise waters of this bay…
