Pannett Park
Pannett Park is the place to come to when you really want to escape the hustle and bustle. This lovely park is filled with winding paths taking you by sculptures and flora.
On your walk through Pannett Park, you’ll find a wealth of sights, including the gorgeous Lily Pool. The pond enjoys Grecian-style architecture and makes for a great place for you to come and soak up the sun’s rays.
Another highlight of the park is the Jurassic Garden. This historic delight is home to an array of preserved fossils, alongside a life-size crocodile sculpture!
Another marvellous sight has to the Floral Clock. This vibrant sculpture was installed in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Once you’ve finished up your stroll around the park, why not take the little ones to the play area? Afterwards, you can find a patch of grass and tuck into a picnic.
Alternatively, you can venture to the Whitby Museum. This museum sits in the heart of the park and is home to several local exhibits.
