Harrogate Convention Centre
The spa town of Harrogate has upheld a reputation as a business and events centre for years. The Harrogate Convention is mainly to thank for this.
The convention and exhibition centre has put on events for over 150 years. It faced a particular boom in the 1940s, when the town threw almost 150 conferences per year!
In more recent years the Harrogate Convention Centre held the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest. The Liberal Democrats have even held conferences here a number of times since 1988.
The centre has also expanded from one exhibition hall to eight over time. A huge variety of events take place in these. Visitors can look forward to touring a range of exhibitions, from nursery fairs to home & gift buying
The centre plays host to the popular Harrogate Fashion Week, this comprises a fashion show and buying events. If comic art is your thing, then you’ll be pleased to know that the centre hosts the annual Thought Bubble Comic Con.
So, if you’re interested in learning new things or touring fascinating fairs, this is the place to come to!
