Gwynver Beach
Thought to be named after Guinevere, the wife of Cornish King Arthur, this beach is situated at the base of steep granite cliffs and is accessed from a path above. The large waves here attract experienced local surfers and visitors alike and lifeguards cover the area during peak season, making it an ideal spot for swimming and paddling.
The beach is sandy and joins up with neighbouring Sennen beach at low tide, offering more shorelines for visitors to explore. The rocky headline of Aire Point is to the right of the beach, where walkers can join the southwest coast path heading towards Cape Cornwall.
Gwynver Beach promises a wonderful day on the Cornish coast…
