Port Gaverne Beach
Port Gaverne is a sheltered cove owned by the National Trust neighbouring Port Isaac. There is plenty of sand to explore at low tide along with rock pools, making it a popular spot for families.
The port was once used to land slate and coal and fish for pilchards. These days the beach is used purely for pleasure and is one of the few beaches in the area where dogs are welcome year-round.
There is a pub just off the beach and the facilities of Port Isaac just a short walk away.
