A La Ronde
A La Ronde came to be in 1784, when Jane Parminter began her tour of Europe. When her tour came to a conclusion 10 years later, Jane wanted to build a special, coastal place to reside in.
Over the years the residence fell under the ownership of the National Trust and became open to the public. It’s well worth a visit!
When embarking on a tour of A La Ronde, you will get the chance to view a special collection of ambiguities. This includes the Cabinet of Curiosities, where seashells, shoes and other trinkets await.
During a tour, be sure to venture up to the Gantry. Here, you’ll be able to soak up panoramic views over the Exe Estuary.
After exploring A La Ronde’s curiosities, why not head to Fancy That pop-up? An array of homemade delights and drinks can be enjoyed here.
Alternatively, make your way to the second-hand bookshop to pick up a captivating read.
A historic day out packed with quirky treasures awaits at A La Ronde…
