Newark Park – National Trust
The remote estate of Newark Park is a Cotswold landmark that is bound to entice any budding historian. The estate dates back to 1550, when it was built by Nicholas Poyntz, a courtier to Henry VIII.
Over time, Newark Park has experienced many states, from those of grandeur to decline. A Texan architect carefully restored Newark Park in the 1970s, making it the gorgeous estate it is today.
The major highlight of Newark Park is the estate itself, where three walks await. The Orange route is currently not accessible, but the Purple and Pink routes are. Both routes are perfect for finding your inner adventurer, and they’re dog-friendly too!
If you’re visiting with little ones, be sure to treat them to the Folly Field play area. Here they can let off some steam before trying one of the delicious treats at the Tea pavilion.
