Chester Canal
Want to enjoy a walk or sailing excursion away from the hustle and bustle? Come and explore the banks along Chester Canal.
Part of the larger Shropshire Union Canal, the Chester Canal flows through the city, often filled with narrowboats.
It’s a wonderful place for a walk with many welcoming pubs dotted along the banks. It’s also great for photo opportunities, passing by the likes of the Chester City Walls, Steam Mill and Chester Shot Tower.
The canal is also great for fishing, with eels, roach and perch swimming in the waters. A fantastic way to while away the day!
Many grassy areas and benches also line the canal, so you can enjoy a picturesque backdrop to a sit-down or picnic.
A wonderful way to explore the city…
