Owain Glyndŵr Statue

Situated on the A5, on the town square of Corwen, the Owain Glyndŵr Statue is not to be missed. Unveiled in 2007, the statue was created by sculptor, Colin Spofforth, and portrays Owain Glyndŵr on an armoured battle horse.

Owain Glyndŵr was the last native-born Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales and led the Welsh War of Independence in the late Middle Ages. A hero of Welsh folklore, he was never betrayed or captured by the English crown and acquired mythical status.

Owain also appeared in Shakespeare’s Henry VI, under the name Owen Glendower.

Come and see this monument for yourself during a visit to North Wales…
