Traeth Penllech
This secluded beach is often overlooked by tourists, making it a great choice for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Access is via a footpath from a car park around 10 minutes walk away. The journey will be more than worthwhile once you set eyes on the mile of golden sand and the imposing cliffs above.
At the halfway point of the beach, a small waterfall from the stream of the Afon Fawr can be found. On either end of the beach, there are also rock pools teeming with wildlife. Fascinating rock formations can be found on the headland above the beach.
Sea conditions are changeable at Traeth Penllech with a mixture of calm and rough days and lifeguards do not cover this area, so caution is advised when swimming.
Dogs are allowed at Traeth Penllech year-round.
A lovely day out awaits at this stunning beach…
