Moel Famau
Moel Famau, at 554m, is the highest summit in the Clwydian Range.
Sitting in the centre of heather-clad hills, the summit boasts some of the best views of the Vale of Clwyd to Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.
The ruins of the Jubilee Tower sit at the top of the mountain. Built for the jubilee of King George III, the Jubilee Tower collapsed in 1862 but the ruins were listed to protect them in 1995.
Moel Famau can be reached from Offa’s Dyke National Trail or from the Moel Famau car park, the walk from here takes around an hour.
Moel Famau is a superb walking opportunity in Wales…
