Chris Jones Gyroplanes
Always wanted to pilot a plane? You can do it in the Lake District at Chris Jones Gyroplanes. The aircraft are a cross between fixed wing aeroplanes and helicopter and need just 50 to 150 yards to take off but only a few yards to land, making them some of the safest aircraft to fly.
You can try your hand at flying the MT03, if you can drive a car, you can easily pilot this aircraft. Chris will talk you through the controls and how they work before taking to the skies. Here, Chris will demonstrate before handing control over to you at the front, while he ensures everything is safe from the controls at the back.
Friends and family can watch you take flight from the sky lounge, where tea and coffee are available.
