Travel to Tintagel by road
If travelling to Tintagel from the South, it can easily be reached via the A39 near Camelford. Those travelling from elsewhere in the country can take the M5 to Exeter, joining the A30 which passes Okehampton and Launceston, with Tintagel just a short drive from Launceston.

The closest train station to Tintagel is Bodmin Parkway, which is under 16 miles away. It’s a station served by the London to Penzance First Great Western service, and from there, local buses will take you to your destination in Tintagel.

Getting to Tintagel is possible by plane, with flights from UK and Irish destinations, as well as other European cities, landing at Cornwall Airport Newquay. The airport is under 20 miles from Tintagel, with public transport and hire cars both available on arrival.
