Travel to Carmarthen by road
Travelling by road will take you through amazing scenery, either along the English-Welsh border or across the Bristol Channel. If you’re going to be travelling by car from the Southeast of England, take the M4 and A48.
From Scotland and the Northwest of England, take the M74 in Scotland, followed by the M56, A55, A483 and A40 in England and then Wales respectively.
From the Southwest of England, take the A30 in Cornwall followed by the M5 and M4. The routes from the Southeast and Southwest do contain tolls on the M4.

Travel to Carmarthen by train
Carmarthen can be reached from London Paddington, changing in Cardiff for the final leg of your journey. The full journey will take you a touch over four hours.
From Glasgow and main stations in the Northwest of England, you will use Virgin Trains, changing at Crewe. This is a long journey from Glasgow taking approximately eight hours to complete.
The services run daily, running approximately every 30 minutes from Paddington, and every two hours from Glasgow Central.
The journey through Wales and the West Country gives you the opportunity to enjoy some stunning locations. Although the train will take longer than by car, it is the perfect way to relax and enjoy your journey.

Travel to Carmarthen by plane
Cardiff Airport is only 50 miles from Carmarthen and may be a quicker, easier way to travel. Flights land daily from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. While it may benefit you to fly, you would need to organise a hire car or taxi to your chosen property.
