Travel to Dartmoor by road
If you’re travelling to Dartmoor by car from the North, take the M5 to Exeter, then take the A30 to Cornwall and turn off on to the North of Dartmoor at Whiddon Down. From Plymouth, take the A38 and turn off at the Eastern edge of Dartmoor at Bovey Tracey. From the South-East take the A303 to Exeter and from Cornwall, take the A30 towards Okehampton, turning off at Sourton Cross and heading for Tavistock on the A386.

Travel to Dartmoor by train
Dartmoor National Park is well connected by rail and travelling by train is a great way to take in the stunning scenery. The closest stations to Dartmoor are Newton Abbot, Exeter, Ivybridge, Plymouth and Totnes.
