Travel to Alnwick by road
Despite its northeasterly location, Alnwick is easy to get to by car thanks to the town’s proximity to the A1. Those arriving from the South, London or the Midlands can take the M1 motorway and stay on it as it changes to become the A1 at Newcastle. Continue on the A1 all the way to Alnwick. From Scotland, the A1 from Edinburgh also takes drivers directly to Alnwick.
