Travel to Berwick-upon-Tweed by road
If you’re travelling to Berwick by car from the South, take the A1 Northbound and exit on the A1167 in Northumberland. If you’re travelling from Scotland, take the A1 Southbound and exit on the B5435, taking you to central Berwick-upon-Tweed. If travelling from the North West of England, take the M6 Northbound and exit at junction 44 then take the A7 Northbound to Berwick.

Travel to Berwick-upon-Tweed by plane
You can reach Berwick-upon-Tweed by plane, being almost equidistant from both Edinburgh and Newcastle airports. The onward journey will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes.
Please note that there is no train station at either airport. Edinburgh Airport provides a tram to St Andrews Square (Waverly Station), where you can catch a train to Berwick-upon-Tweed.
