Just under a third of Cornwall is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and uniquely for the county, it is separated into 12 different spaces, encompassing 10 stretches of coastline as well as Bodmin Moor and the Camel Estuary, highlighting just how varied the picturesque Cornish landscape is.

With 200 miles of coastline, there are plenty of fantastic coastal Cornwall walks with world-class views waiting to be explored. Join the South West Coast Path at different points throughout the county and wander through parts of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, discover King Arthur’s Castle and Merlin’s Cave, or take in the striking Godrevy Lighthouse. Whichever section you chose to traverse, there are many sights to be seen on coastal walks in Cornwall.

Bringing a four-legged friend? There are numerous fantastic dog walks in Cornwall. Follow coastal trails to beaches like Lantic Bay, near the picturesque harbour town of Fowey or the beautifully unspoiled Whitsand Bay, both of which are dog-friendly all-year-round. For a change of scenery, visit the impressive Bodmin Moor or one of Cornwall’s majestic forests. Tehidy Country Park has 9 miles of paths weaving through the woodland past lakes and ponds, Cardinham Woods boasts 650 acres of woodland full of buzzards, kingfishers, deer and otters, as well as the Wood’s Café, the perfect spot for a post-walk refuel.
