Travel to Hathersage by train
Hathersage conveniently has its own train station, which is only a 20-minute journey directly from Sheffield or less than an hour from Manchester.

Travel to Hathersage by plane
Manchester is the closest airport to Hathersage, which is just over an hour’s drive away if you plan to hire a car. Alternatively you can catch the train from Manchester Airport to the city centre, and then a train straight to Hathersage.
The other option for travellers is East Midlands Airport, which is also just over an hour’s drive away up the M1 and through Chesterfield. You can also reach Hathersage via train from East Midlands Airport up to Sheffield, and then across to the Peak District.
