Holmfirth is located on the northern outskirts of the Peak District, just within West Yorkshire. The town is well known for being the setting for the famous television show Last of the Summer Wine. With all the picturesque views surrounding the country village, there is no wonder this scenic region was chosen.
Holmfirth is nestled in the heart of Holme Valley and has many great walking routes in and around the Peak District National Park. The town is lined with pretty, independent shops, including quirky boutiques, antique stores and other local hidden gems. Along the cobbled streets are also many places to eat and drink in quaint, traditional buildings.
Nearby is Holme Moss, a popular cycling destination. Ride along the mountain bike routes and take in the stunning views. There is also a great family-friendly pottery barn nearby, where you can make and design your own keepsake to remember this beautiful village by.
