If you’re travelling to Newport by car from the North West of England or Scotland, take the M6 (includes toll) before joining the M42.
If coming from the North East, take the M1 before turning off on to the M69, and then the A46.
From there, for both routes, join the M40, and then the A34. Finally, join the M3 and head to a ferry port at either Southampton or Portsmouth. Your route from here to Newport will depend on where the ferry takes you to.
