Getting to Settle by train
Travelling by train is perhaps the best way to reach Settle, it being situated on the picturesque Settle to Carlisle railway, which was voted one of the UK’s most scenic railway journeys. Direct trains are available from either Leeds or Carlisle mainline stations. Passengers travelling from Carlisle will pass over the word famous Ribblehead Viaduct. The journey takes approximately one hour from either station.

Getting to Settle by plane
Settle is not easily accessible by plane. The nearest airport is Carlisle, but this offers limited flight availability. Another option would be Leeds Bradford Airport which provides connections to Aberdeen, Belfast, Glasgow, London Heathrow and Southampton. You can then take the train from Leeds Station direct to Settle but this is unlikely to save you much time over taking the entire journey by train.
