How to travel to Stroud by road
The Cotswolds is not covered very well by public transport, so travelling by car might be the best option.
The M5 motorway runs in a north-south direction with junction 13 being the closest exit to Stroud.
On exiting the motorway, follow the A419 going through Stonehouse before arriving at Stroud.

Getting trains to Stroud
Stroud train station is on the line from Swindon to Stonehouse, with regular services on weekdays. The weekend services are less frequent.
Trains operate to Gloucester, Swindon and Cheltenham. Trains from further afield will require changes, usually at Swindon.

Bristol Airport (www.bristolairport.co.uk)is the nearest airport to Stroud but it is over 30 miles away.
There are no reliable direct services from the airport to Stroud, so a private car might be your best option. Car hire is available from Bristol Airport.
