Travel to Torquay by train
Although the journey by rail to Torquay from Exeter is very scenic, it does take longer than some other forms of transport. For those looking to enjoy some of Britain’s most beautiful countryside and stunning views of the coastline, this is the ideal mode of transport.
Torquay has two railway stations – Torquay is close to Torre Abbey Sands, near the coast, while Torre is a little further inland, near the road to Newton Abbot.
Those travelling by rail from Plymouth or Cornwall will need to change trains at Newton Abbot.

Travel to Torquay by bus
Travelling by bus is convenient for those who don’t have access to a car, although tickets must be booked in advance.
Megabus run regular services to Torquay from Bristol and London. Buses can also be booked through National Express or Stagecoach South West from Exeter, Plymouth, Totnes and Paignton.
