Our Whaley Bridge Travel Guide includes… Places to stay, things to do and how to get to Whaley Bridge
Whaley Bridge is a tranquil town on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park with the River Goyt travelling straight through the centre.
There are a welcoming selection of independent shopping stores and pubs to satisfy the needs of all who visit. The village is also a short walking distance away from the pleasing Toddbrook Reservoir. As well as admiring the views, there are a number of different water activities like canoeing, fishing and sailing that visitors can take part in.
The monthly farmers’ market allows exhibitors to promote and offer customers their best locally-produced foods and crafts. Uniting both the local population and visitors of the area, the pleasant event only enhances the town’s friendly atmosphere.
