Travel to Whitby by road
The journey to Whitby is a superb opportunity to soak up the majestic moorland countryside, with the main road in and out of town, the A171, offering breath-taking scenery. For those travelling from the North, take the A171 down from Guisborough or if you are travelling from the South, travel up the A64 and then take the A169 around Malton before driving through Pickering and joining the A171 just after Staithes.
