Travel to Yarmouth by ferry

All road and rail travellers will need to take a ferry to get to Yarmouth from the mainland. There are 15 daily ferries from Lymington for car and foot passengers, with a journey time of 40 minutes.

Travel to Yarmouth by road

From the North of England, take the M6 followed by the M40 until Wendlebury where you take the A34 to Winchester. Get on the M3, then merge onto the M27 before exiting to take the A337 to Lymington. Travellers from London can take the M3 from junction 12 on the M25.

Travel to Yarmouth by train

Depending on where you are travelling from, getting to Yarmouth by train can be a quicker and more relaxing option than driving. Journey times from Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds vary from five to six hours, with most routes going via London stations. From London, travellers must change at Brockenhurst in the scenic New Forest National Park before taking a short train to Lymington Pier for the ferry.
