For a challenging option, why not attempt the James Herriot Way? This 52-mile track feeds through parts of Swaledale and Wensleydale, taking roughly four-five days to complete. This route takes in a number of the famous sites of the Dales including Hardraw Force and Bolton Castle, letting walkers will get to enjoy the open moorland and the far-reaching landscape.
