Banham Zoological Gardens
If you’re looking for a memorable day out with all the family, you’ll find just that at the Banham Zoological Gardens. Set within 50 acres of stunning parkland and gardens, the zoo is home to thousands of animals from across the globe.
Some of the species you can look forward to seeing are the Amur Tiger, the Black-Footed Penguin, the Cheetah, the Giraffe, the Californian Sea Lion, and the Snow Leopard. Learn all about these fascinating species at one of the daily animal feeding talks, or at one of the Amazing Animals and Birds of the World Displays.
Feel like you’re exploring another part of the world in the Tropical House, home to free-flying birds and an array of exotic plants that are usually found in South America. Little ones will enjoy a visit to the Farm Barn, where they can get up close to the likes of Pygmy Donkeys, rabbits, and Pygmy Goats.
After all that exploring, you can make a pitstop at Parkside Pizza to enjoy one of their hand-stretched stone baked pizzas, or The Glade, which offers a hearty menu of jacket potatoes, baguettes, cakes, sandwiches, and hot and cold drinks.
The zoo is open every day between 9:30am and 5pm, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. An adult ticket for the zoo costs £23 if you would like to include a donation to help with the zoo’s upkeep or £21 without a donation, whilst children between 3-15 years old can experience the zoo for £15.
There is also the option to sign up for a membership which provides you with unlimited free entry to Banham Zoological Gardens and Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, as well as 10% discount across all food a drink, 10% off in the shop, and the option to bring a friend for free up to twice a year.
Enjoy an unforgettable day out at Banham Zoological Gardens…
