Bissoe Valley Nature Reserve
Situated just south of Truro, this old mine site began its restoration in 1986 and has since become a thriving area of newly planted woodland, ponds and regenerating heathland.
Walking, cycling and horse riding are all popular ways to get around here and the tramways coast to coast trail passes through the north of the valley. There are many clear footpaths that run through the valley, accessible for prams and wheelchair users.
Visitors can spot damselflies, birds and butterflies here, including the distinctive grayling butterfly.
Bissoe Valley Nature Reserve offers a day of fun for all…
