Bodmin and Wenford Railway
The Bodmin and Wenford railway runs from Bodmin Parkway to Boscarne Junction via the principal station of Bodmin General. On a return journey, the full length of the track is 13 miles and will take around two hours.
The line is steeply graded and has many curves, making it a fun and thrilling ride for all. With a fireman on hand to ensure the locomotive has good fire and a head full of steam, you’ll set off passing sites such as the River Fowey, Charlie’s Gate and Cardinham Woods – where you’re welcome to alight for a walk.
Once you reach Bodmin General, you can immerse yourself in locomotive history with a browse in the gift shop and the exhibition coach or grab refreshments in the café. Finally, as you reach and leave Boscarne Junction to return to Bodmin Park, you can expect to see views of Kirland and the historic Halgavor Moor.
Bodmin and Wenford Railway promises to be a great day out for all…
