Carnglaze Caverns
Carnglaze Caverns is a former slate mine where slate was both quarried and mined underground. Visitors will be invited to go on a self-guided underground tour – guided during high season – to learn about the mine’s history.
The tour ends at the crystal-clear waters of the underground lake. Visitors can return to ground level and explore the eight-acre ancient oak woodland surroundings, picnic in the walled garden, browse the crystal and craft shop or simply soak up the tranquillity of this enchanting spot.
