Carwinion Wood
Carwinion Wood is situated close to Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens and boasts a similar sub-tropical feel thanks to the range of ferns, bluebells and even bamboo growing here. Livestock can be seen in the fields beyond the wood, with plenty of birds and insects occupying the woods themselves.
A National Trust waymarked walk of an hour is a good way to discover the woods, beginning at Bosveal carpark and passing Mawnan Smith village where pubs and cafés wait to tempt weary walkers.
Carwinion Wood promises a leisurely stroll…
