Catbells is a magnificent fell, located in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria. Standing at a height of 451 meters, Catbells is a popular walk in the national parks with beginners, families and experienced hikers.

Catbells Walk
Our first Catbells walks is a moderate hike, with a short but steep section on the ascent and minor scrambling. Begin the Catbells walk Hawes End Landing Stage and follow the path away from the lakeshore. Afterwards, zip-zag steeply up the Skelgill Bank, which is a pat that levels for a while before climbing again to the summit of Catbells.
Savour the views at the summit before descending south to the saddle of Hawes Gate. This 3.5 mile Catbells walk can take up to 3 hours to complete.
If you’re looking for a quick walk, then the Catbells circular walk is ideal, taking only 1.5 hours! Begin the walk from Skelgill Bank and stride up Skelgill bank, onto the Catbell summit before heading down the western edge of Catbells via Brunt Crag. This Catbells walk offers great views of the Newlands Valley.
