Charlotte’s Teahouse
Visitors can rest their feet before or after a day of shopping and sightseeing in the bustling Truro at Charlotte’s Tea House.
Serving breakfast, lunch, cream tea, high tea and a selection of drinks, guests can soak up the history of this 19th-century building as they enjoy homemade delights.
Every cake and pastry is made on the premises and locally sourced produce and ingredients are used where possible to give guests a true taste of Cornwall.
Wondering what types of afternoon tea are available here? Don’t worry, we have you covered.
The first and possibly most popular option is the classic cream tea menu. Homemade scones, jam, Cornish cream and tea make up this menu.
Prefer savoury dishes? Try the savoury tea, which contains cheese scones, cream cheese, chutney and smoked salmon.
Want to take it up a notch? We recommend trying one of the high teas. These come in sweet and savoury variations and feature the classic afternoon tea components alongside sandwiches and alcoholic beverages.
Coming for brunch or breakfast instead? You can look forward to a range of classics to start your day with, including eggs benedict, omelettes and English breakfasts.
Not after a tasty breakfast? Sandwiches, homemade soups, hot meals and more can be tucked into here. And, if you prefer something on the smaller side, you can choose from toasts, scones and cakes.
