Chester Rows
During a Chester trip, the Chester Rows are hard to miss! This collection of architectural gems can be found lining the four main streets of Chester.
The Chester Rows consist of black and white, two-tiered, half-timbered buildings that are joined up via galleries. There are a wealth of sheltered walkways on the first floor of the buildings.
The buildings date back to the medieval period and are believed to have been built on top of Roman ruins. Nowadays, they are home to eateries, shops and offices.
You can stop for a bite to eat at one of the first-floor cafés. Most of these have seating that extends onto the walkways, offering views of the streets below.
Many wonderful shops, from independent to well-known brands have made the Chester Rows their home. Why not pick up a special souvenir or gift here?
Alternatively, make your way to the close-by Grosvenor Shopping Centre for more dining and shopping options.
