Church of St Swithin
This grade I listed church survived the Victorian restorations and as a result, many of its original features remain. Notable features include a collection of ancient bench ends, and a mural painting depicting the sacrifice of Isaac and Barnstaple encaustic tiles dating back to 1400.
The tomb of Sir Goldsworthy Gurney, a doctor and inventor working during the 19th century, can be found in the churchyard here and a well that feeds into the River Neet is just a short distance from the church.
