Corinium Museum
The Corinium Museum rests in the middle of Cirencester and has a fantastic collection of historic artefacts on offer; 8,000, to be exact! There’s so much waiting to be uncovered here, such as social history, photographs and archeaology with ties to the Cotswold District.
The museum is easily reached in the heart of the market town and is situated within reach of ample parking options. Free parking is available at St James Place Headquarters, with more parking available at the Forum Car Park and Brewery Car Park.
The biggest highlight, however, has to be the mosaics! The majority date back to third century AD, with memorable picks being Oceanus and the Hare mosaic.
Anglo-Saxon metal pieces, medieval sculptures and Tudor possessions are just a few of the objects you will come across here.
After exploring these, why not head to the Roman Gardens and enjoy a spot of relaxation? Alternatively, get hands-on with the Corinium Museum’s events. These include art workshops, live ballet and academic talks.
Corinium Museum also contains the Rural Cinema, an intimate theatre where you can enjoy all the latest films. Special premieres of TV series also take place here.
Come here and experience one of the finest attractions in Cirencester…
