Freshwater Bay
The idyllic beach of Freshwater Bay comprises sand and pebbles. It’s nestled between two striking, chalk cliffs, within reach of the Needles Headland.
Freshwater Bay has plenty to offer, such as excellent conditions for watersports! This is a kayaking hot spot on the Isle of Wight, and the sport offers great sights of the surrounding cliffs and nearby bays.
The beach permits dogs between October-April, so you can enjoy a coastal stroll with your furry friend, too. When the tide is low, you can also venture into the adjoining caves that were historically popular with smugglers.
A highlight of Freshwater Bay is its easy access to facilities. A large car park rests close-by, alongside an extensive esplanade.
The Dimbola Museum and Galleries can be found just off the esplanade and are where you can enjoy afternoon tea. Alternatively, the Albion Hotel is also nearby and offers a fabulous restaurant for you to dine in.
A memorable beach day awaits at Freshwater Bay…
