The boardwalk to the beach’s entrance has been made pushchair and wheel-chair friendly, making it a very accessible day out. Accessible toilets and a car park are also situated nearby.
Once you’ve arrived, you can enjoy miles of clean sand where you have ample space to set up your beach towels and wind breakers. The bathing waters here have been rated “excellent”, so why not treat yourself to a dip, too? During the summer season, RNLI lifeguards patrol between the yellow and red flags, so you can enjoy a sense of security during your swim.
Hemsby Beach houses the Inshore Rescue, meaning if you time your visit right, you can take part in special events, such as the Viking Festival and Herring Festival.
