Keswick Lakeside Round
Start the walk at the Lakeside Car Park in Keswick at the very back close to the public toilets. Follow the path into the woodland until it joins with another path, take a left here. You will then arrive at a crossroads, turn right, and go straight to the lakeshore or take a right to stop by the play area first.
Walk onto the promenade overlooking the lakeshore and turn left along the promenade. The promenade will end, and you’ll join a wooded path which is signposted for Friars Crag. Keep going along this path and pass a signpost to Strandshag Bay.
This path continues until the end of the crag and on the left, you’ll find a monument to John Ruskin. Walk down the stone steps on the other side of the monument and through the gate. You will then be on a large bay with a path running along the opposite side of the lake. Keep following the path around the bay.
Soon you will reach a junction with a gate and bridge straight ahead, turn left just before the gate. Keep heading straight with the boundary to your right. Go through the gate at the other end of the field in the corner on your right. Go through the gate and you will be back in the woodland where you started, keep walking straight on to reach the car park.
