Lizard Point
The Lizard Peninsula is the most southerly part of the country’s mainland. It is the site of historic shipwrecks and still overlooks one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Rare and unusual flora grows here, and Cornish chough can be spotted by eagle-eyed visitors.
While the beaches are a draw in the summer, Lizard Point can be enjoyed year-round. There are plenty of walks to explore along with the South West Coast Path, with scenic points and landmarks dotted along the way. A café sits close to the point itself, giving hikers a delicious reward following their adventures.
Come and hike around this rugged peninsula and soak up those dramatic, coastal sights…
