Directions
1. Pont Pen-y-Benglog, outside the National Trust’s Ogwen Cottage. Make your way to the Ogwen Falls footbridge and follow the stony path.
2. At the fork in the path, follow the route to the right, continuing across to the shores of Llyn Idwal.
3. When you reach the lake, follow the route to the left and turn lefty and follow the path in a clockwise direction around Llyn Idwal.
4. At the southern end of the path, the route ascends and bears right under ‘Devil’s Kitchen’, a rocky mass of boulders and scree.
5. Follow the path to the right to join the path descending through the Devil’s Kitchen. Follow along the western shores of the lake.
6. Once you have completed the circuit of the lake, follow the path to the left following the outward route back to your start point, Ogwen Cottage.
