Perfectly positioned at the heart of the Lake District National Park is the beautiful hill of Loughrigg Hill. Sitting on the outskirts of Ambleside, this Lake District attraction is a superb vantage point for the surrounding falls, making it a superb walking destination.
To enjoy Loughrigg Hill, pack up your walking boots and camera, before parking up in Ambleside, where you will find a collection of eateries.
Loughrigg Fell Walks
Our favourite Lake District walk begins at Ambleside Church and is generally easy and goes for just over six miles. The varied Loughrigg Fell walk takes in the beautiful tarn and offers breath-taking views of the surrounding fells, as well as views of Grasmere and Rydal Water.
Loughrigg Fell walk is an accessible walk all year round, however, to fully appreciate the views, attempt the walk on a calm and clear day!
