Museum of Cornish Life
Housed within Helston’s historic Market Buildings and spread over three floors, the Museum of Cornish Life is packed with treasures to delight and fascinate visitors. The collection began back in 1937 through the Old Cornwall Society and it opened as a museum in 1949.
Today, the museum houses one of the largest social history collections in the South West and ranges from Greenstone axeheads used by early settlers to Victorian irons and vintage toys.
There is a museum shop on site for those wishing to take home souvenirs and a family play area for little ones to enjoy.
