Nant Y Pandy Gwarchodfa Natur
Nant Y Pandy Gwarchodfa Natur, or the Dingle Nature Reserve, is rich in wildlife, history, and artwork, meaning there’s something for everyone here.
The woodland is a mixture of sessile oak, ash, wild cherry and sycamore trees surrounded by ferns, mosses and woodland flowers.
For a true taste of Wales, ensure you head to Coed Plas, situated behind Saint Cyngar’s Church, in the spring it is carpeted with vibrant wild daffodils.
Frogs and newts can be found in wetter areas while adders and lizards inhabit the drier woodland. Butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, bees, beetles, snails, and woodlice can also be found within the woodland.
Blue tits and great tits, moorhen, heron, and buzzards make up just some of the bird life here. The reserve’s more surprising features come in the form of sculptures.
From a huge dragonfly to giant seed pods and split oak timbers revealing a poem by local poet, Rolant o Fôn.
Nant Y Pandy Gwarchodfa Natur is a great day out in Wales…
